Freedom Camping in Pt Chevalier at Raymond Reserve & Eric Armishaw Reserve

Ross from Point Chevalier

Find out what is proposed for Albert-Eden in the Freedom Camping in Vehicles Bylaw
Consultation is open on Auckland Council’s proposed Freedom Camping in Vehicles Bylaw. The bylaw defines which Council-owned sites across Auckland prohibit or restrict freedom camping.
In the Albert-Eden area, the bylaw proposes to prohibit freedom camping at 3 sites (Coyle Park, Heron Park and Nixon Park) and to restrict it to certified self-contained vehicles at 4 sites (Fowlds Park, Eric Armishaw Reserve, Raymond Reserve and Western Springs Gardens). Freedom camping is allowed in all others.
We would like to invite you to join the Albert-Eden Local Board at a community drop-in event to find out more about the proposed bylaw.
• Tuesday, 11 December 2018
• 5-7pm
• Mt Alberts Senior Citizens Hall, Wairere Avenue, Mt Albert 1025
The consultation is open from 3 December 2018 until 18 February 2019. You can find out more about the proposal and have your say online at www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz.... Hardcopy feedback forms will be available at the community drop-in event and are also available at your local library.
We look forward to seeing you.
