30/9/18 16:16 Gas water heater on fire Tarrant Rd, turned back.
7/10/18 14:07 Grass and gorse fire Moutere Highway, helped control with Upper Moutere, Appleby, and Motueka
Did have a permit, dry under foot and windy
12/10/18 23:29 CO2 leak Redwood Cellars, Wakefield fire, Upper Moutere and Appleby ventilated.
14/10/18 01:19 building fire Motueka, assisted in controlling fire.

Safety Tip – Rural Home safety
Good clear driveways, 4 meters’ wide
Rapid rural property numbers
Have a good supply of water with easy access
Have a 10 meter safely zone around building and 30 meters down slope.
Escape plan, e.g. driveway on fire.
Keep grass mown or grazed
At the moment we have 12 fire-fighters. We have room for 4 more persons who live or work with in the Mapua area and can come to trainings on Thursday night and call outs at any time. Ideally within four minutes station.
