International Week of Prayer for the World Peace
The Interfaith Council of Nelson-Tasman is coordinating this year"s celebration again (last year a peace tree was planted by the Tasman mayor to commemorate the occasion in the Richmond Children's Playground Area located in Cambridge Street).
You are all welcome to join any or all the following venues and share your passion to achieve the peace we all ardently desire:
13th October, Saturday: Nelson Quakers - Friends Meeting House, 30 Nile St, Nelson at 11.00 am
14th October, Sunday: Baha’i Faith– The Queens Gardens, (on the right side of Hardy street entrance) at 4.00 pm
15th October, Monday: SGI Buddhist: Stoke Methodist Church, 92 Neale Ave, Stoke at 6.30 pm
16th October, Tuesday: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints: 119 Nayland Road at 6.30 pm
17th October, Wednesday: Nelson Cathedral at 6.30 pm
18th October, Thursday: TBA
19th October, Friday:Nelson Hare Krishna Community: 14 Ralphine Way, Maitai at 6.30 pm
20th October, Saturday: Stoke Methodist Church, 92 Neale Ave, Stoke at 6.30 pm
21st October, Sunday Host: Interfaith, Richmond Town Hall, 9 Cambridge Street, Richmond at 2.00 pm
Also Chandrakirti Meditation Centre is holding the Prayers for World Peace, on Nov 17th Sat 10.00 - 11:30 am at 289 Sunrise Valley Road, Upper Moutere (please bring a plate of food for a shared lunch after the meeting)
Next Soul to Soul will be at the Anglican / Anglican Maori Church, Nelson Cathedral on Oct 27th Sat 1:30 - 3.00 pm (more details on Theme and program to follow)
