Ratepayers Association
Are you aware that Whakatane does not have a Ratepayers Association? We are one of the few towns in New Zealand not to have one, Matata does, Kawerau does, why not Whakatane? Other associations have planned a meeting to be held in Nelson in November, with a view to forming a national federation, thus giving ratepayers nationwide more clout in dealing with their local Councils.
So we thought, why not form one in Whakatane? From people we have spoken with, it would seem to be highly supported; but of course we have to create one, so, should anyone be interested in taking part in this, either insofar as setting up, or simply being involved, please contact either myself or Susan Anderson via the email addresses below.
