Should Auckland's power lines head underground?
Hi neighbours,
Do you often lose power at your home during bad weather? Auckland lines company Vector forecasts climate change will increase the risk of power outages from high winds, floods and dry winters. So should the city be looking at putting more lines underground?
The argument over "undergrounding" power lines boiled over in April when a powerful storm brought down power lines in the city, leaving about 5000 residents without electricity for at least three days.
So what are your thoughts on the topic? Are underground lines a good idea? Or do you think it would be a waste of time and money? Let us know in the replies! (Please add "NFP/not for print" if you do not want your images/comments used on Stuff.)

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
