Dodgy man asking young girls where to swim naked.
Last night my 13yr old daughter and her friend arrived home from swimming in the Matai area. They were approached by a man, who was looking for a place to swim naked. They were embarrassed, told him they didn't know where he could go, and ended the contact. He then stood behind them for a good period of time before leaving, enough to make them uncomfortable. Now I am a pretty liberal person. But an adult male asking very young girls where he can swim naked is NOT on with me, no matter how the question is presented. I doubt very much such a question would not have been asked if I was sitting there next to them. So now we all know, and is what this site is all about. No crimes committed but making our babies feel insecure in their community is totally unacceptable. If it was you? You need to know how you made those young girls feel. You also need to know that we are all watching.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
