Phone Scam warning
We have just had a phone call from a man with a heavy Indian accent, who claimed to be ringing from the NZ Government Grants office, to inform us that we had been selected to receive a free grant of $6000! I'm sure this was a scam but sadly some people will be vulnerable to this sort of scam. Please warn others to be careful and not to give away any personal details over the phone, no matter what the caller claims to already know.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
