3 Tips for surviving the silly season with family
1.Practice holding your tongue with relatives.
We all what it's like to spend time with relatives that are odd, you dislike, or you just don't get on with.
If you notice yourself becoming irritated, argumentative, remove yourself from the situation.
Removing yourself from the situation will mean that your Christmas won't be remembered for the wrong reasons.
2.Don't open old wounds by bring up the past
All families carry unfinished business..
It won't be productive, and you"ll likely just inflame the situation while ruining Christmas for everyone.
3.Reflect on what you want to say before you say it
You might have heard this in the news about this controversial quote below:
Justine Sacco... Tweeted.... Going to Africa. Hope I don't get AIDS. Just Kidding. I'm white!
This is a great example of someone saying without reflecting.
The same goes for you during the Christmas/festive season.

Speed limits around NaeNae
Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
