Beerescourt Bowling Club
Visitors and new members welcome. You just need flat soled shoes and we will loan you the bowls to play with. Our club is located at 68 Maeroa Road, behind the tennis courts. Come and try your hand at this friendly skillful sport. Lawn bowls provides social contact and constant but non-vigorous exercise. Opening day 28th September. Club days are Tuesdays and Saturdays. Have a Go - Sundays - Arrive between 1pm and 1.30 pm. You can either pop in or give us a call - Gerald 847 0413 or Diane 847 4970.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
