Protester up Snells Beach Norfolk Pine blocking contractors
Protester Charlie Cottrell-Jury, who scaled a threatened 150 year old Norfolk pine at Snell’s Beach this morning, says he'll stay overnight in the tree to protect it.
The pine was due to be felled this morning by contractors but Cottrell-Jury says he won’t come down until the developer agrees to save it.
Snells Beach community members are rallying to support Cottrell-Jury by collecting food and overnight gear for him.
Do you think the tree should be saved?
