Congratulations to all our volunteers!
Last night the Foundation's Hospitals Volunteer Service were announced as the overall winners of the 2017 Ministry of Health Volunteer Awards, as well as the Winner of the Health Care Provider Service Volunteer Team award.
This is great recognition for all our volunteers at Wellington & Kenepuru Hospitals, Children's Hospital and Kapiti Health Centre, and is a huge achievement for the 450+ strong team of volunteers who give up their time each week to assist patients and visitors.
The awards are significant as the awards are New Zealand wide awards. It was very humbling to win and be among so many other organisations and their volunteers who in our minds are just as worthy.
