Good news for fans of the Buick Street taps in Petone.
The taps will reopen soon with a UV treatment unit which means people can enjoy safe drinking water without any chemicals. The taps are likely to be reopened within the next week to 10 days depending on the installation and testing process. Work to do the same for the taps at Dowse Square is also underway and it’s likely they will reopen this month too. To read more about this visit huttcity.govt.nz

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
