A new initiative from next Sunday. "COUNCILLOR CASSON'S CORNER" Each Sunday from 11am to 12 noon, I will be at different locations and available to you. This is your opportunity to ask questions, get advice and to see if I can help with any council related issues you may have. This coming Sunday 21 May from 11am to 12 noon, I will be at the Good Neighbour having a coffee. Come say hello and I can let you know what topics we discussed at the latest HCC meeting. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
