The JabberWaka cometh to Canterbury for Super Saturday vaccine drive

Nicole Mathewson Reporter from Northern Outlook

The latest tool in the fight against Covid-19 is a mobile vaccination motorhome, dubbed the JabberWaka by the Canterbury District Health Board, which will be in Kaiapoi on Saturday and Sunday.

A special shuttle van will bring people from the Kaiapoi Spring Festival to the JabberWaka and back on Sunday.

The JabberWaka is one of many initiatives being rolled out this weekend as part of a national drive to get more people vaccinated against Covid-19.

A pop-up vaccination clinic at the Amberley Farmers Market at the Hurunui District Council Chambers will also run from 9am to 1pm.

Weatherpro

Brian from Rangiora

Last night on seven sharp a weather man recommended a weather app, weatherpro. I put it on my phone and it changed all my settings. A friend of mine had the same problem. It is also hard to delete. Be wary.

Picked in the morning, on your plate for lunch

Mei Leng Wong Reporter from NZ Gardener & Get Growing

Dear neighbours,

Read about this Dunedin cafe where vegetables from the kitchen has been grown by the owner. The staples of pumpkins, beetroot, cabbage and carrots do well here, he says, with a wide variety of other crops including spring onions, kohlrabi, celery, fennel, kale, potatoes, silverbeet, leek, mint and herbs. Yummy!
