TCDC the Coromandel peolple to have your say before letting the new 10 year Rubbish Collection contract.
The Coromandel is one of the worst areas in NZ for food waste into their rubbish bags that go to Landfill. That Landfill only has only 2 years left before that closes. Then our rubbish will go north & the the cost will rise again. TCDC wants your comments, so fill out their simple 2 page tick box Submission Form & have your say by 12th April. This is your last chance for 10 years to say you want the food waste collected seperatly & not go to landfill. Go to their web site or pick up a form at the council office, fill it in, & submit. Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
