Sea Link Makes Sense But Land-Based Marine Services May Flood
TCDC has received a report on the proposed Kopu Landing Site Upgrade. The preferred option is to build a new slipway/pontoon/ wharf, to support an expanded marine service industry for the aquaculture industry in the Firth of Thames.
With fragile roading, alternative transport links via the sea make sense. But the expanded onshore marine service industry at Kopu is proposed on low-lying land likely to be flooded from the sea. Once again climate change impacts are ignored. Read More at - teggtalk.wordpress.com...
