Paeroa College students make Boomerang Bags

Teresa Ramsey Reporter from Hauraki Herald

Year 11-12 students at Paeroa College have joined the effort to get rid of plastic bags, by making reusable cloth Boomerang Bags as part of their Friday Fabric Academy, with help from community volunteers.
The initiative, which began at the end of term two, will see hundreds of Boomerang Bags distributed to Paeroa stores for shoppers wanting to ditch the plastic. The bags are made from donated materials and will display a Paeroa Boomerang Bags logo. Shoppers can keep the bags for future use or return them to the shop for others to use.
