Mangroves Protected Land from Sea Flooding - Expert
Sea flooding during the January 5 storm would have been much worse without mangroves, an expert says. They protect stop banks necessary for flood protection of farms and property. The mangroves defuse some of the force, the velocity of the tides. Which is one reason why TCDC's Mangrove Removal Bill is such a dumb idea.
