Water Restrictions Now in Force at Level 3

Online Content Publisher from Whangarei District Council

While residents on the public water supply have succeeded in their efforts to reduce water use, insufficient rain has fallen to replenish our dams, and little rain is forecast in coming months.

To further reduce water use across our District, Whangarei District Council has established Level three Water Restrictions for all of the Whangārei District from 8am Thursday 16 April.

Here's what that means for residential water users. For more information including restrictions on Commercial customers please see our full update:

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
