Zonta Clubs of Whangarei's Annual Book Sale July 2017
It is the 24th Book Sale that the Zonta Clubs of Whangarei are putting on to raise money for local charities.
People are invited to drop off unwanted but tidy, and useable books, music, DVDs, board games or puzzles to Cowley's Hire Centre or the Discovery Settlers Hotel in Hatea Drive and Trimac Services in Kioreroa Road.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
