The Camping in Public Places bylaw is not due for review until 2022. If the Council proposes to change the bylaw, we will undertake public consultation and there will be an opportunity for the public to make submissions and speak at a hearing at the time.

I don't know about others but I am heartily sick of the exorbitant amount we have to pay them (ever increasing) when they perform on a shallow, advice-based, role in the environment matters they are supposed to be focussing on and rather dream up employment and business promotion schemes (using our money), scholarships, etc. that they were never mandated to do. Please all have your say, as they have been getting away with this for too long.

Trees That Count are an environmental charity on a mission to plant millions more native trees throughout New Zealand. Trees That Count runs the country’s only marketplace which provides a place for anyone to fund or gift native trees. This support is matched with planters throughout the country who are restoring, and growing, precious wildlife corridors or pockets of native forest, turning small projects into mighty ones.
