Good People

The film night for Thursday 30th October for WFS will be in the Capitaine Bougainville Theatre at Forum North, 7 Rust Ave Whangarei.

At 6pm, WFS will screen the Irish film, FOUR LETTERS OF LOVE, based on the best-selling book by Niall Williams and boasting an all star cast.

Our 8pm screening is the French comedy, A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA.

FOUR LETTERS OF LOVE
Ireland, Drama, 2024, 109 mins, Rated M
Cast: Helena Bonham-Carter, Pierce Brosnan, Gabriel Byrne.
Director: Polly Steel

Based on Niall Williams' best-selling novel of the same name, this is a multi narrative story where the lives and loves of the characters intertwine.

As a child, Nicholas sees his father (Pierce Brosnan) trade in his life of bureaucracy for a final chance to find joy through painting. This act of passion by his Dad inspires Nicholas to find happiness for himself. But whilst his heart belongs to Isabel, their quest to be together is anything but simple.

This is a powerful and beautifully shot story about love and how unseen forces and the realities of life may need to be overcome to find happiness.

"The casting is irresistible. Brosnan, Bonham-Carter and Byrne bring decades of craft to the table to breathe life into the best-selling novel by Niall Williams ." - IMDB
