possible/probable scam alert
I received an email today, purportedly sent by Skype. It looked really quite genuine - except for the subject : "Update Skype to keep talking to friend." I am sure you all have spotted the grammatical error.
The other giveaway is this: I am using the very latest version of Skype, yet the message said I am using an old version and it will no longer work past July 1st.
Thirdly: my Skype has always updated itself whenever there's a new version out. Unfortunately, I'd rather have the older version where you could see the local time of the person you're trying to chat to, which some bright spark has changed so it only shows our local time now.
But anyway: it's up to date so if someone tries to tell me it's not, then
this is highly suspicious.
Yeah, right.
I suggest that, should you get an email like this: do not click on any links in the message.
