Please dispose of fireworks properly
đĽ URGENT: Please do not put used fireworks in your paper-recycling!
Unfortunately we had a fire this morning in Whangaumu Bay, when used fireworks caught alight and had to be dumped, then extinguished by volunteer firefighters.

1ď¸âŁ Please soak used fireworks in a bucket of water overnight.
2ď¸âŁ Put the wet fireworks in your standard rubbish bag - they cannot be recycled
