The annual Whangarei Christmas Festival is happening this Saturday 9 December at Toll Stadium starting at the earlier family friendly time of 5pm with gates opening at 4pm so you can come along earlier and bring your picnic blanket to reserve a good spot.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
