Whau Valley Dam is at 45%

The Team from Whangarei District Council

Alarming new aerial footage of the Whau Valley Dam shows exactly why water restrictions are in force.

It may be coming in to winter now, but this enormous dam will take many months of rain to fill up. We're asking everyone - please - to save water at home and at work. Help us fill the dam.

Poll: Are Kiwis bad drivers?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Each country has its own idiosyncrasies when it comes to driving and New Zealand is no different.
With daily near-misses, people incorrectly indicating at roundabouts and a lack of stopping at stop signs, it begs the question: Are Kiwis actually not that good at driving?

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.

Disability funding. Rules have changed overnight

Glen from Central Whangarei

.
Our government targeting the weakest in society for cuts. Just nasty

Now, MSD is going to target give-a-little pages supporting sick people.
.
This is going to lead to more suicides, poverty-related crime, and more desperation.

More learning disabled in jail.

I have this radical idea called early intervention, which involves teaching children to read and write in schools, not jails.
.
I wrote about disabled people and marginalisation, and here is my book titled.
