Job Vacancy - Coordinator for WINGS - Part time.

WINGS (Women’s International & Newcomers Group Social) is a charitable organisation that is a friendship network where we exchange traditions and knowledge, share settlement issues, build connections and create a sense of belonging in our community.

The organisation consists of women from all walks of life, nationalities, both local and foreign who are new to Whangarei and its surrounds.

We are looking for that extra special person, someone altruistic and beneficent to be our next dedicated office co-ordinator.

A person who can interact with a diverse range of people, someone who has the resilience to cope with an ever-changing day, a ‘jill of all trades’.

A self-starter who thrives on a challenge.

We need someone with commitment and passion for this type of role, who thrives on, nurtures, and has empathy with our multicultural ethnicities.

Key Requirements:
. Sound understanding of office practices
. Excellent time management skills
. Ability to work independently
. Able to lead and manage external relationships
. Have exceptional organisational skills
. Above average communication and social skills
. Initiative
. Strong prioritisation skills

This part-time position for 20 hours per week, mainly office based in central Whangarei.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
