Malware Alert - CCLEANER has been hacked !!
Anyone who has installed or updated their Piriform’s CCleaner anytime within the past 4 or 5 weeks needs to uninstall CCleaner and then run anti-malware programs to remove any potentially damaging programs from their computers.
We advise our customers to use software such as Malware bytes free or premium to double check your device for any malware.
As CCleaner does not automatically update itself, you have to be prompted and accept for this to happen, so if you have done so in the last 4 - 5 weeks, please take the necessary steps to protect your device and network by scanning for malware.
