Alert Level 3

Roxanne Manlangit from Nora's Lutong Bahay

New Zealand will be moving into Covid Alert Level 3 next week Tuesday, April 28th. That means we’ll start opening our store for contactless collection and delivery within Whangarei.

At the moment we're working hard to put in place additional safety measures to ensure we can serve you once we're on Level 3.

Check back to see how to order your favourite Filipino takeaways, pies and breads.

Springs Flat

Peter Neighbourly Lead from Kamo

Does anyone have an idea just *what* is going on with SH1 in Springs Flat? The road surface is disintegrating after recent 'resealing'. There are truckloads of loose stone chip floating around, I bet it's cost a fair few new windscreens by now (in fact I'm wondering why the insurance industry hasn't made a hue and cry about it yet!!)

It's disgraceful. Who is responsible for fixing this mess? NZTA? WDC?

But somebody really has to DO something.

What moving to level 2 means for the rest of NZ

The Team Reporter from Stuff

Hi neighbours,

On Tuesday night, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced there were four new Covid-19 cases in the community.

Auckland moved into level 3 at midday on Wednesday, and the rest of the country into level 2.

Kiwis outside of Auckland can still continue to go to work and school, with physical distancing, and are advised to wear masks in public.

Businesses can open to the public if they are following public health guidance, which includes physical distancing and record keeping.

In terms of gatherings, New Zealanders must not travel to events with more than 100 people. This includes weddings, birthdays, funerals and tangihanga.

The Government advises all Kiwis to practise good hygiene and stay home if sick.
