Dog adoption
My wife and I want to adopt a small or medium sized dog that's mature and will get along with our 2 pet bunnies. We live in Ruakaka village and have a fully fenced area. We both work, and don't think we can give a puppy the time and training required. We've had several rescue dogs before, a staffy mix and a border collie mix, but both have passed recently.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
