Council Parks cease watering as Water Restrictions loom

Online Content Publisher from Whangarei District Council

Council’s parks and recreation team and contractors are ramping up their water savings with the dry weather starting to bite.

Water levels are falling so low in several parts of the Far North and Kaipara Districts, Whangarei District Council is preparing for the possibility that it may have to supply some water to other districts.

You might see signs out in parks showing that watering has stopped. We urge everyone to save water where they can in their homes.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
