Infrastructure update - detours
The construction of the main asphalt pavement from Saturday 19 November until Wednesday 23 November will require the temporary closure of Kensington Ave between Kamo Rd and Davies St. This map shows the detours. Note Nixon St is still closed to right turns for northbound traffic on Kamo Rd – this traffic will be directed onto Graham St and Mill Rd to access Nixon St while Kensington Ave is closed.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
