Whitebait season starts tomorrow!
We love to see everyone getting out and enjoying our beaches as the mercury rises, and here some friendly reminders for a successful Whitebait season:
π£ Make sure you're up to date on Whitebait fishing regulations on the Department of Conservation website at ow.ly...
π« A permit is required for vehicle access to the Ashley River mouth during the whitebaiting season - permits can be purchased from the Rangiora and Kaiapoi Service Centres
ποΈ Camping on the beach is not permitted π« Check out freedom camping spots on our website.
π£ It is nesting season for our native birdlife so please be mindful, particularly when driving on the beach
