New plastic recycling rules for Waimakariri after coronavirus compounds export options
Councils across New Zealand are reviewing what they can accept at the kerbside due to ever-changing changing markets and rules.
This month, the Waimakariri District Council announced it is now accepting only plastic grades 1, 2 and 5 for recycling since collections resumed following the Covid-19 level 4 lockdown.
