Wairarapa County Music and Cruise Martinborough combo this weekened
The Wairarapa Country Music Festival is on this weekend (28-31 January) at Tauherenikau. This year’s festival, at the beautiful racecourse near Featherston, will be one of the biggest yet with an great line up of KZ talent including Jodi Vaughan, Ainslie Allen, Katie Thompson and Eddie Low. Cruise Martinborough, the hot rod, classic and muscle car event showcasing vehicles from the 50s, 60,70s folds into the festival with cars onsite at the festival on Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 5.30pm. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
