Meet the finalists! Secondary schools are invited to National Library of New Zealand for two free events involving four of Aotearoa’s best YA authors. Includes the opportunity to buy books and get them signed by the authors.

There are two sessions in Books Alive. We have designed it so that your school can attend both sessions, to maximise appearances from these fantastic shortlisted authors.

These events are suitable for ages 13 - 17 years.

Session 1
11:00am - 12:00pm: Acclaimed authors Des Hunt ('Search for a Kiwi Killer') and Brin Murray ('Children of the Furnace') talk about their incredible shortlisted books for curious readers and interested writers.

There will be a break between sessions for book sales and signing.

Session 2
12:30pm - 1:30pm: Comic artist Ant Sang ('Helen and the Go-Go Ninjas') and novelist Rachel Craw ('The Rift') give insights into the creation of their latest shortlisted works.
The final session will be followed by book sales and signing.
