Kia Ora, we'd like to formally introduce you to Potamopyrgus oppidanus, one of our very own freshwater snail species.
Te Ahumairangi Hill is the only place in the world where this critically endangered critter can be found in recent years.
You can help protect this natural taonga by taking extra care when crossing streams near the foot of Wadestown Road.
