Martinborough Fair - this fabulous fair features top quality NZ-made craft and clothing, great food and music this Saturday and Saturday 2 March.

Gathering on the Green at Le Grá Vineyard at Opaki - live music with Le Grá wines and drinks this Saturday 1pm-6.30pm.

Market in the Vines at Gladstone Vineyard - live music, food trucks, stallholders and wine tastings, with a kids corner to entertain children this Sunday from 10.30am.

Tauherenikau Races - experience a true country Raceday this Waitangi Day with thrilling racing and plenty of entertainment for kids on Tuesday 6 February 12.30pm-5.30pm.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
