School holiday toys and AGM

Angela Tolich from Northland Toy Library

The Northland Toy Library will be open on Saturday from 9:45-11:30am in St Annes Hall (cnr Randwick and Northland Rd). Come and grab some toys in preparation for the upcoming school holidays.

We have a variety of toys- outdoor, ride on, costume, puzzles, board games, role play, infant toys and more. Check out our range on our website northland.mibase.co.nz...

You can even reserve toys using the website.

Not a member? Then join us either through our website or in person. An annual full membership starts from $75 and we offer a discount for community services cardholders. We also have Grandparent membership $50 for 10 trips. There's no extra charge to hire the toys.

Also for Northland Toy Library members, the AGM is this Saturday 9 April at 11:30am in the St Annes Hall. Tea, Coffee, and Morning Tea will be provided. If you would like to join the committee or put your name forward to provide assistance in other ways (toy repairs, helping with putting out toys or pack up) then this is an opportunity to do so.

See you Saturday!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
