Learn how to save the whales with Project Jonah

Sustainability Trust

Celebrate our amazing marine mammals this National Sea Week (29/2-8/3) with Project Jonah at Sustainability Trust

Together we’ll measure out a blue whale, compose whale songs, and practice saving a stranded whale (in this case Lionel, our inflatable friend!).

Project Jonah is a marine mammal welfare charity that exists for one simple reason – marine mammals desperately need our help. They are faced with many threats, including plastic pollution, fisheries by-catch, and climate change. Project Jonah’s work involves coordinating trained volunteers nationwide to help at whale strandings, as well as raising awareness of human impacts on these animals and marine education programmes.

This event will show how incredible these creatures are, and focus on raising awareness of issues facing them and some practical ways that we can help.

This is a koha-based event with all proceeds going to Project Jonah
