Northland Community Workshop - 5 March from 5.30pm

Andrena Patterson from Northland Memorial Community Centre

IMPORTANT NOTICE: NORTHLAND IMPROVEMENT PLAN (NIP)

Dear Northlanders and supporters

When was the last time Northland received a face lift?

Our wonderful suburb is at risk of being ignored while others grab the Council's attention – Northland is long overdue for some significant investment!

Working together with Northland Memorial Community Centre (NMCC), we are currently developing a proposal to update and improve the Northland area, and improve the links between the village, Community Centre and school.
We need your ideas, input and support to demonstrate to WCC that we are a strong and cohesive voice.

Examples of improvements could include:

Modernised and improved public space(s)
Improvements to the Community Centre
Better flow and visual connection throughout our suburb
Changes to improve traffic flows and safety
Better rubbish and recycling options
Improved lighting and planting
Art or sculpture
New paving

Our proposal will be submitted to WCC with the aim of it being incorporated into their long-term plan - which is being developed this year. Any improvements will need to be consulted on and budgeted for, so they are likely to be staged over a number of years. But if we don't ask – then nothing will happen. It is time to put our hands up!

How Can You Get Involved?

Bring your ideas to our community workshop – MONDAY 5 MARCH at Creswick Garage - drop in anytime between 5:30-7:30pm
Email us or post your feedback on NMCC or CVRA facebook pages
Volunteer your time to help put the proposal together
We look forward to seeing you and hearing from you

Secretary, on behalf of CVRA
