Hi Neighbours,

This morning on my ride in to work, I was at the traffic lights on Tinakori Rd waiting to turn off on the State Highway 1 exit ramp.

In front of me was a woman in a blue Ford Focus? number plate (ELF392). On the driver side roof was a pair of Nike trainers. She'd obviously forgotten about them when entering her vehicle.

Before I was able to notify her, the lights turned green and she drove on to the exit ramp.

Sadly, it was at this point that the shoes were blown off due to the higher speeds. The shoes landed about halfway down the exit ramp and I could not safely stop to retrieve them.

If anyone recognises the above number plate, please let the poor person know what's happened to her shoes.

I don't know if they can be retrieved safely (maybe a job for our heroic men in blue?).

Hope the shoes and their owner can be reunited.

Have attached a photo of where the shoes roughly landed.
