Cafe Villa Chalk board!!

Blair from Ngaio

Dear Neighbourly Community
There have been many times when I have felt I needed to express disappointment in Cafe Villas chalkboard 'statements'...however todays one has finally pushed me over the edge!
A week after our nation came together to highlight awareness of bullying , I was annoyed to see the attached message. The Cafe Villa board belittled the idea of bullying. We are trying to get people to understand that bullying is a huge nationwide concern and needs to be respectively address and not made light of.
My wife spoke to the manager/owner this morning and expressed her concerns about how the board is very close to Ngaio school and maybe he should think about the influence the board might have on the people passing. However this was greeted by " you have hurt my feelings, so you are bullying me! " and then he laughed and walked away.
Should we be supporting a business like this when they are not supporting us?

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
