SPCA Pet of the Day: Meet Klio and Quintus

Reporter Community News

Dana and Hamish adopted of Klio and Quintus from the SPCA two years ago.
“Today is the two-year adoptaversay of Klio and Quintus (Charlotte and Quinn). How pawsome! We wanted to let you know that they are both doing very well. Klio went from being very shy to now insisting on always being on our laps. Always. Even to the point of trying to get up before we have fully sat down. Quintus was diagnosed with diabetes last January, but has responded very well to the insulin injections and continues to be quite chatty and fluffy. Wishing you all well, and thank you again to the whole team -- your mahi and aroha make such a difference in the lives of kitties and humans alike.”

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
