Movie Fundraiser during school holidays

Kelly Lensen from Karori Community Toy Library

The school holidays are nearly upon us, and if you are looking for something fun to do, join us at the Penthouse Cinema in Brooklyn, and help support the Karori Toy Library.

On Wednesday the 3rd of October, we will be screening the movie "Small Foot" at the Penthouse Cinema in Brooklyn, at 11am. The movie is being released in New Zealand at the end of September, so join us and be one of the first to view it!

Tickets are $15 each for children and adult alike - the kids will receive a fun goodie bag, and there will be some great spot prizes up for grabs!

All money raised from the fundraiser will go towards purchasing new toys or replacing/repairing old toys.

Please forward this to any one you know that might be interested, or looking for something to do with their kids during the holidays!

The event and more information can be found on Facebook: www.facebook.com...

Tickets available from Karori Toy Library during opening hours or contact karoritoylibraryfundraising@gmail.com

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
