COVID-19 welfare support
The Council’s Civil Defence and Emergency Management Welfare Team is supporting Marlborough’s response to COVID-19. The Team is available to assist people who need help with shopping and are unable to shop themselves. For example those who are:
● In self-isolation and can’t get to the shops
● Unable to access online shopping
● Don’t have anyone they can ask to help
The Team is also helping people to find emergency accommodation.
If you or someone you know needs extra help or advice please phone 03 520 7400 and ask for the Welfare Team or email welfare@marlboroughcdem.co.nz

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
