Where's your closest Civil Defence Centre?
Do you know that we have civil defence centres (CDCs) around Marlborough? They include halls, a church, several schools and marae.
In Blenheim, we have a number of sites that we can open as CDCs in an emergency. The main purpose of a CDC is to provide support and information to people affected by an emergency.
In an emergency listen to your radio for advice about which CDCs are open and if you need to go there, make sure you can get there safely.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
