Lots for kids at Tāmaki Herenga Waka Festival this weekend
This is a free, family-friendly festival at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre this Sat - Mon. Kids can have a go at traditional Māori crafts, hear stories in te reo Māori and English, pull up a colourful beanbag or dance to live kapa haka and music, watch cartoons and try digital games.
Kids 8+ can have a go paddling a waka, or sail on a double-hulled ocean-going waka hourua (5+; 5-8-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult). www.aucklandnz.com...
Some Choice News!

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
