One Tree Point sea-caves filled in
Several sea caves under cliffs along One Tree Point’s shoreline (near Marama Place) have been filled with large rocks in a bid to prevent the cliff from eroding further and the caves collapsing.
The work follows conversations with residents who were concerned that waves at high tide were eroding the caves further and further back under the cliff, according to Parks and Recreation Strategic Asset Coordinator Shaun Dixon.
