Are patient wait times an issue in your community?

Georgia Reporter from Stuff

Hi neighbours,

A lack of specialists and facilities is being blamed on the long waiting time for bowel cancer tests in Northland. Is this something that's affected you or your family? To read more, click here.

Currently, the waiting time for a colonoscopy at the hospital falls below national standards. However a second gastroenterologist has recently been employed at Whangarei Hospital to help pick up the waiting time rate.

What are your thoughts on this? Have you had issues with long wait times? What changes or improvements would you like to see in your community? Let us know in the replies!
